KPRI Sejahtera Jombang officials admit to Rp 24 billion loss
Two officials of the KPRI Sejahtera Jombang cooperative have admitted to abusing their authority, resulting in estimated losses exceeding Rp 24 billion. According to written statements, official 'S' admitted to causing Rp 16 billion in losses, while official 'T' admitted to losses totaling approximately Rp 8 billion.
Following an Extraordinary Member Meeting (RALB) held on September 1, 2026, members rejected the management's accountability report. Members cited insufficient explanations regarding the cooperative's assets, receivables, and financial management mechanisms. There are allegations that member funds, potentially reaching Rp 124 billion, were diverted into land plots.
Hartono, the Chairman of KPRI Sejahtera Jombang, stated that the cooperative intends to involve a Public Accounting Firm (KAP) to conduct an objective audit of assets and management. He noted that while the cooperative has assets to liquidate to repay members, the process will take time. Hartono also indicated that he has not yet signed any official documents regarding the results of the recent extraordinary meeting.
