KPU Sumedang commits to accurate voter data for democracy

The Sumedang General Elections Commission (KPU) has reaffirmed its commitment to maintaining democratic quality by providing accurate and accountable voter data. During a plenary meeting for the third quarter of 2026, KPU Sumedang Chairman Ogi Ahmad Fauzi emphasized that continuous voter data updates are a constitutional obligation under Law Number 7 of 2017.

The commission is actively conducting cross-sectoral synchronization to ensure eligible citizens are properly recorded while adjusting data for those who no longer meet the requirements. Fauzi noted that accurate data serves as the foundation for ensuring citizens can exercise their right to vote effectively.
