Krabi officials dismiss 121 civil servants over recruitment fraud

Authorities in Krabi Province have moved to dismiss 121 local government officials following evidence of corruption in the recruitment and appointment process for the 2026 fiscal year. The decision follows findings of irregular scoring during competitive examinations.

The dismissed group includes 72 officials from Subdistrict Administrative Organizations, 40 from subdistrict municipalities, and 9 from the Krabi Provincial Administrative Organization.

Worasit Liangprasit, Deputy Minister of Interior, stated that the Ministry is providing legal support and evidence to local administrative organizations to ensure the process follows legal frameworks. The central government aims to complete these removals by August 31, emphasizing that actions are being taken based on verified facts regarding irregular examination scores.
