KRAFTON announces dark fantasy RPG TARAE: The Unbound

KRAFTON and developer Boundary have officially announced TARAE: The Unbound, a top-down dark fantasy action RPG. The game was unveiled at gamescom 2026 and is planned for release on PC (Steam and Epic Games Store), PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series X|S.

Set in the world of Taegwido, the game draws inspiration from Eastern mythology, including concepts such as the Six Paths of Reincarnation, Yin and Yang, and the Five Elements. Players choose from six classes based on reinterpreted Eastern professions to combat an entity known as Agasa, who seeks to destroy the order of reincarnation.

Gameplay features fast-paced combat against large hordes of enemies, requiring strategic use of skills, gear, and builds. Players can collect Sources and utilize support skills to enhance their characters. While the specific release date has not been announced, the game will feature boss encounters based on creatures from Eastern folklore and myths.
