KRAFTON India Announces BGMI International Cup and Showdown Tournaments in Mumbai

KRAFTON India unveiled two major esports events for the second half of 2026. The BGMI International Cup will be held at the Dome, Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel Indoor Stadium in Mumbai from October 30 to November 1, featuring 16 teams – six from India, five from South Korea and five from Japan – competing for a ₹1 crore prize pool.

The newly introduced BGMI Showdown is an invite‑only championship for India’s top 48 teams, selected through the KIE Leaderboard, BGIS and BMPS. The competition runs from September 22 through October, culminating in LAN Grand Finals on October 16‑18, also at the Mumbai venue, with the same ₹1 crore prize pool. Karan Pathak, Associate Director – Esports at KRAFTON India, said, "Every season should feel bigger than the last – not just in scale, but in the quality of competition it delivers."
