KRAFTON announces BGMI Lite for India launch by late 2026

KRAFTON has officially announced the development of Battlegrounds Mobile India Lite (BGMI Lite), a version of its flagship battle royale game designed to expand accessibility in India. The new edition is scheduled to launch by the end of 2026, targeting users with budget or older smartphones and those in areas with weaker network connectivity.

While specific system requirements, download sizes, and exact release dates have not yet been disclosed, the Lite version is expected to offer a smoother, lag-free experience by requiring lower hardware specifications and storage space. It aims to provide the core battle royale experience while potentially utilizing lower-resolution textures and reduced graphical demands to accommodate entry-level devices.

In a separate move to engage its community, BGMI has also announced a collaboration with Bollywood actor Tiger Shroff. This partnership includes themed outfits, weapons, and a special voice pack available to players, marking an effort to merge cinema and gaming for India’s youth.
