Krafton posts record half-year revenue and profit on PUBG, Subnautica 2 success

South Korean game publisher Krafton announced its strongest first‑half results ever, posting revenue of 2.6616 trillion KRW, a 73.3 % increase year‑on‑year, and operating profit of 972.5 billion KRW, up 38.3 % YoY. The second quarter alone generated 1.2902 trillion KRW in sales and 410.9 billion KRW in profit, marking 94.9 % and 67 % growth respectively.

Growth was driven by the PUBG franchise, whose IP revenue rose 25 % YoY, and the new title Subnautica 2, which sold more than five million copies within 22 days of its early‑access launch. Subnautica‑related IP sales reached 2.325 trillion KRW in the half‑year. Despite the strong operating performance, Krafton recorded a net loss of 29.9 billion KRW.

The company said it will expand user‑generated content, pursue new global IP collaborations and deepen technology partnerships, including a strategic alliance with Hanwha Aerospace.
