KRAFTON releases PUBG: Battlegrounds Update 42.3

KRAFTON has released Update 42.3 for PUBG: Battlegrounds, introducing the RPD, a new fully automatic light machine gun (LMG). The RPD uses 7.62 mm ammunition, deals 43 damage, and features a firing rate of 750 rounds per minute. It is available on all maps and can be equipped with stocks, magazines, and scopes up to 6x magnification.

The update also includes significant balancing adjustments for the LMG class. Reload times for all LMGs have been reduced by 25%, and recoil mechanics have been modified to reduce vertical peaks during sustained fire and decrease horizontal recoil dispersion by approximately 30%. Additionally, recoil and bullet dispersion when firing from vehicles will now increase proportionally to movement speed.

For PC players, the update debuts PUBG: Playgrounds, a new creative hub. This platform allows players to access community-created game modes directly through the in-game menu and matchmaking, removing the previous need for external websites. The hub will feature curated content and monthly updates.
