Krafton to donate 351 sets of refurbished IT equipment

Krafton has announced plans to donate 351 sets of refurbished business IT equipment to local communities this year to help bridge the digital divide and promote resource circulation. In partnership with the Korea IT Welfare Promotion Agency, a social enterprise specializing in resource circulation, the company is repurposing used desktops and laptops for educational use.

To date, Krafton has distributed 181 sets to 33 organizations, including social welfare institutions in Seoul's Seongdong District and various youth shelters and children's centers in Yongin. The remaining 170 sets are scheduled for distribution in December to children's centers in Gimje, Jeongeup, and Jinan within Jeonbuk State.

Since 2023, the initiative has provided a cumulative total of 766 sets across regions including Gyeonggi, Busan, Daejeon, Seoul, and Jeonbuk. Once this year's distribution is complete, the total number of supported sets will reach 1,117. The project has also contributed to environmental sustainability, with an estimated reduction of approximately 53 tons of greenhouse gases through the recycling of 25,410kg of electronic waste.
