Kragujevac media subsidies face political criticism

Dalibor Jekić, president of the Freedom and Justice Party, has criticized a proposed increase in subsidies for Radio Televizija Kragujevac (RTK). The amendment to the city's business program seeks to increase existing subsidies from 55 million dinars to an additional 10 million dinars.

Jekić accused the local government of using taxpayer money to fund a media outlet that serves the interests of the Serbian Progressive Party (SNS) rather than providing impartial information. He argued that the station lacks critical coverage of the ruling party and instead uses public funds to re-broadcast SNS gatherings from other cities.
