Krajina Alliance formed for Bratislava regional elections

Six democratic parties have formed a new alliance called ‘Krajina’ to contest the upcoming unified local elections in Bratislava and the Bratislava Region. The coalition includes the Krajina party, KDH, Hnutie Slovensko, NOVA, Za ľudí, and Kresťanská únia.

According to Ivan Lacho, chairman of the Krajina party, the alliance aims to restore political balance, discussion, and diversity to the city and regional administration, which they claim has become one-sided. The group does not intend to field a single mayoral candidate but seeks to change the composition of the city and regional councils. Their primary policy priorities include environmental protection, education, social and family policy, and parking management.
