Kraken and Anthropic face delays in planned IPO timelines
Major technology and cryptocurrency firms are facing shifts in their planned initial public offerings (IPOs). Kraken has announced that its stock market debut is delayed and will likely not occur before the second quarter of 2027. While the company has seen a 17 percent increase in revenue, its trading volume has decreased by 13 percent, contributing to the decision to wait for more stable market conditions.
Similarly, Anthropic is adjusting its timeline. Reports indicate the company may begin the selling phase of its IPO in mid-October, with the publication of its prospectus potentially delayed until late September. As part of the process, Anthropic is finalizing a $15 billion revolving credit facility. Financial institutions including Morgan Stanley, Goldman Sachs, JPMorgan, and Citibank are working on the offering.
