Polish cities impose road and bus disruptions amid extensive construction

In Katowice, a railway underpass on Lwowska Street will be closed from 6 July, prompting temporary bus route changes on eight lines and the introduction of a substitute line Z‑2. Delays in completing the Bagienna road bridge have pushed the start of work on the Lwowska underpass to mid‑July, shifting the planned bus adjustments to 18 July.

Kraków’s Kotlarski Bridge is under renovation, limited to a single lane in each direction until the end of July, causing long queues during peak hours. In Kielce, night‑time lane reductions and a manually controlled shuttle flow on Łódzka Street accompany the S74 expressway construction.

A night‑time closure of the railway crossing on Słowackiego Street in Piotrków Trybunalski is scheduled for 7‑8 July, with drivers directed to detours. Gdańsk will reroute twelve bus lines and close two stops at the Hucisko junction from 4 July.

Węgierska Górka’s Plażowa Street will be fully closed on 3 July for bitumen works, and the Banin viaduct construction continues on schedule with a total traffic ban. Additional street work in Idalin introduces closures on Wyścigowa and Przejazd streets while opening sections of Idalin and Gałczyńskiego.

Dąbrówka reports no changes to public transport schedules during the holiday period.
