Krakow holds free 96th Singing Lesson concert on Mały Rynek honoring First Cadre Company

On 5 August 2026 at 19:00 a free public concert took place on Mały Rynek in Krakow as the 96th edition of the Krakow Singing Lesson series. The programme featured patriotic and legionary songs such as “Kadrówka”, “Hymn strzelecki”, “Białe róże”, “O mój rozmarynie”, “Przybyli ułani” and “My, Pierwsza Brygada”.

The event was organised by the Centrum Kultury Podgórza in partnership with Fundacja Teatr Camelot. Audience members were the main performers, supported by actors from the Krakow Theatre Loch Camelot, and were provided with free printed and digital songbooks. The concert commemorated the 6 August 1914 march of the First Cadre Company, led by Marshal Józef Piłsudski, from Krakow’s Oleandry to Kielce.
