Kraków A4 motorway junction to undergo expansion

A major roadwork project is set to begin at the Bieżanów junction in Kraków to expand the connection between the A4 motorway and the S7 route. The project, valued at 2.3 million PLN, will be executed by Eurovia and aims to add a second lane to the exit leading toward Warsaw.

The construction involves rebuilding a 170-meter embankment, improving drainage, and laying new pavement over a 380-meter section. This upgrade is intended to improve traffic flow and safety, particularly as the opening of the Mistrzejowice junction later this year is expected to increase vehicle volume on the eastern bypass of Kraków.

Work is expected to last approximately eight months, including a winter break. While the junction will remain passable for most of the construction period, drivers should expect speed limits and occasional nighttime closures.
