Kraków Łagiewniki railway building revitalization proposed

A proposal has been made to revitalize a closed railway building at the Kraków Łagiewniki station. The facility, located on Zakopiańska Street, has been largely out of use since its ticket office closed in October 2010.

Local councillor Agnieszka Pogoda-Tota suggests repurposing the infrastructure to serve passengers and residents. Proposed uses include ticket machines for rail and city transport, waiting areas, shelters, and restrooms. The initiative aims to improve the comfort and safety of travelers, including those visiting the nearby Divine Mercy Sanctuary.

While the city has indicated it will contact PKP regarding the matter, any concrete development depends on resolving property rights and assessing the technical condition of the building. Currently, no formal discussions have taken place with the property owner or manager.
