Kraków authorities conduct night patrols to maintain public order
Authorities in Kraków conducted intensified night patrols in the city center to maintain public order and safety. Working jointly, the City Guard and police, with support from the Sustainable Night Economy Commission, targeted areas popular with tourists and residents.
During a recent weekend operation, officials addressed various violations, including public disturbance, vandalism, illegal alcohol consumption, and unauthorized street performances or trade. In the ‘Old Town’ and ‘Kazimierz ze Stradomiem’ cultural parks, enforcement focused on traffic regulations and pedestrian safety. Specifically, officers identified 41 instances of cyclists or electric scooter users riding on sidewalks in a manner that endangered others. In total, 145 instances of lawbreaking were recorded during the intensive night of monitoring.
