Kraków imposes new fees on developers for residential projects

Kraków has introduced new financial requirements for developers seeking to implement investments through integrated investment plans. Under a decree signed by President Stanisław Kracik, developers will be required to pay the city or invest in municipal projects for every square meter of new residential space created.

The minimum payment is set at 7.5 percent of the average reconstruction cost per square meter. Based on current averages in Kraków, this amounts to approximately 750 PLN per square meter of usable residential area (PUM). These funds are intended to finance additional municipal investments in exchange for allowing residential construction in areas where it was previously prohibited.
