Kraków leads Polish Healthy Cities Index in education
Kraków has secured first place in the Education category of the Healthy Cities Index for the third consecutive year. The ranking, which evaluates how local governments invest in the development of young residents, highlights Kraków’s strong performance in eighth-grade and high school examinations, as well as its high accessibility to preschool education.
Sopot and Opole also placed on the podium. Sopot earned second place, driven largely by high examination results, including notable scores in Polish and mathematics among 2025 graduates. The Healthy Cities Index is a collaborative project involving the LUX MED Group, researchers from the Warsaw School of Economics, the University of Economics in Kraków, and the Open Eyes Economy movement.
