Poland political polls show divided sentiment on Tusk and constitutional vetoes

Recent polling in Poland reveals significant political divisions and public sentiment regarding key leadership and policy issues. A United Surveys by IBRiS poll indicates that 54.3% of respondents view Prime Minister Donald Tusk negatively, while 37.4% hold a positive opinion. Support for Tusk is highly polarized, with 85% of ruling coalition supporters approving of his leadership, compared to only 20% of opposition voters.

Regarding constitutional matters, nearly half of the population (49.6%) opposes limiting the President's veto power, while 38.2% support such a change. This debate is fueled by President Karol Nawrocki's frequent use of the veto. Additionally, Jarosław Kaczyński has attributed the failure of certain state reforms to presidential vetoes issued by Andrzej Duda.

In Kraków, the Clean Transport Zone (SCT) remains a contentious issue among mayoral candidates. Candidates have proposed various approaches, including reducing the zone's area or holding a referendum to allow residents to decide on its size. While 72% of surveyed residents believe transport zones are necessary if well-designed, the SCT was a factor in the recent referendum that led to the removal of the former mayor.
