Kranj police increase surveillance in Planina following disturbances

Police in Kranj have intensified monitoring in the Planina area following repeated disturbances caused by teenagers. Authorities intervened twice in a single night—once around 10:00 PM and again around midnight—due to the disruptive use of pyrotechnics. In both instances, groups of youths fled upon the arrival of officers, and the perpetrators have not yet been identified.

In a separate two-day enforcement operation on October 9 and 10, police addressed various violations including the misuse of pyrotechnics and traffic offenses involving mopeds and e-scooters. Reported infractions included riding without helmets, driving without license plates, riding on the wrong side of the road, and exceeding speed limits.

In several cases, police issued fines to parents for failing to provide adequate supervision of their minors. Additionally, pyrotechnics were seized from a minor, and legal proposals have been submitted to the competent court regarding the identified offenders.
