Krasha Financial Services to launch India litigation finance platform

Krasha Financial Services, a private market firm, plans to launch a dedicated litigation finance platform in India during the fourth quarter of FY2026-27. The move marks the firm's entry into the legal finance sector, targeting an early-stage market that currently faces over 50 million pending cases.

The platform will focus on high-value commercial disputes and arbitration with a minimum claim value of US$10 million and a target maximum duration of five years. Evaluation criteria for potential opportunities will include claim merits, enforceability, counterparty strength, expected recovery, jurisdiction, and estimated resolution time.

Krasha is reportedly in advanced discussions with a UK-based legal-finance company for a potential strategic partnership. Such a collaboration aims to provide the India-based platform with international expertise, case-underwriting capabilities, and access to global legal-finance networks. The global litigation funding market is estimated at US$29 billion in 2026 and is projected to exceed US$43 billion by 2031.
