Krasnystaw local development and infrastructure projects
The city of Krasnystaw is moving forward with several local development initiatives. The municipality has secured EU funding to revitalize a water reservoir near Lwowska Street, transforming it into a recreational space with walkways, greenery, and amenities. While officials aim to create a city landmark, some residents have expressed concerns regarding the potential loss of natural character.
Additionally, an audit has cleared Krasnystaw of any wrongdoing regarding EU subsidies used for a kayak marina on the Wieprz River. The investigation, prompted by local social media allegations of mismanagement, concluded that the project maintains its required durability and met all declared objectives despite hydrological challenges affecting water levels.
In other regional news, the municipality of Czerniewice is implementing various infrastructure upgrades, including a new 640 m² health center funded by the Polish Deal program, sewage networks, and a selective waste collection point supported by European funds.
