Kratos supplies advanced turbomachinery for Lockheed Martin’s next‑gen ramjet propulsion

Kratos Defense & Security Solutions announced that it has developed, tested and delivered an advanced turbomachinery component for Lockheed Martin’s next‑generation ramjet propulsion system. The compact, high‑performance turbomachinery was validated in a standalone test campaign that confirmed operating points, durability and performance before integration. During a propulsion system test, representatives from Lockheed Martin and the U.S. Army Aviation and Missile Center witnessed the demonstration, which confirmed the missile’s core propulsion capability is ready for upcoming flight testing.

Following the announcement, Kratos shares fell about 1.6%, trading at $48.64 after reaching a low of $46.44. The stock move occurred alongside coverage of the company’s recently completed $50 million hypersonic payload integration facility in Indiana, a bullish analyst rating from B. Riley Securities, and concerns that earnings expectations are weakening.

The component delivery supports the broader high‑performance propulsion initiative and underscores Kratos’ role as a supplier to major defense programs.
