KRC Genk signs Nigerian striker Rafiu Durosinmi for €10.5 million
KRC Genk announced the acquisition of 23‑year‑old Nigerian forward Rafiu Durosinmi from Italian club Pisa SC. The fee is reported at €10.5 million with possible bonuses and a 10 % sell‑on clause; the player signed a four‑year contract running to 2030 and will play home matches at the Cegeka Arena.
Durosinmi, who previously starred for Viktoria Pilsen in the Czech league with 35 goals in 86 appearances, had a brief, injury‑hit spell at Pisa, scoring once in twelve games. Genk’s head of football Dimitri de Condé described him as “a classic number 9, strong in the box and in combination,” while the player said he wants to be “important for the team from day one.” He has also earned three caps for Nigeria’s national team.
