Kreis Borken joins national Resuscitation Week

The Borken district in Germany is participating in the national ‘Resuscitation Week’ from September 21 to 27, 2026. The initiative focuses on strengthening the local emergency response chain through the Corhelper first-aider app and the district's AED database.

To ensure technical reliability, a test alarm is scheduled for all registered Corhelper users on Friday, September 25, 2026, at 11:00 AM. Officials emphasize that this is strictly a test of the alerting chain and not a real emergency; registered helpers are instructed not to travel to any location during this time.

Currently, more than 1,300 qualified first responders are registered in the Corhelper app within the Borken district. These volunteers, who assist in civilian clothing, are alerted to nearby cardiac arrests to provide immediate aid before professional emergency services arrive.
