Kreis Mettmann joins climate adaptation monitoring project
Kreis Mettmann is participating in the “IndiKlimA” research project to develop a standardized monitoring system for regional and municipal climate adaptation. The project aims to create measurable indicators to track progress and evaluate the effectiveness of measures taken against climate change impacts, such as heat, heavy rain, and flooding.
Technical implementation is supported by Disy Informationssysteme GmbH, while the scientific coordination and development of the indicator system are managed by the Research Institute for Water Management and Climate Future (FiW) at RWTH Aachen. The project will be tested under real municipal conditions in the cities of Remscheid, Solingen, and Wuppertal, with the Regionalverband Ruhr (RVR) facilitating networking among member municipalities.
