Kremlin awaits details on Trump's proposed Ukraine peace deal

The Kremlin has stated it lacks specific details regarding a potential peace agreement for Ukraine announced by US President Donald Trump. Kremlin spokesperson Dmitri Peskov noted that Vladimir Putin's special envoy, Kirill Dmitriev, has not yet returned from the United States to report on the results of his meeting with Trump.

President Trump previously described the potential deal as a “great and wonderful agreement” that could impact all of Europe. However, Peskov emphasized that any discussions regarding a future European security architecture or mutual security between Russia and Ukraine must include European nations, criticizing a perceived lack of unity among EU leaders regarding who should represent the continent in such talks.

In related developments, Ukrainian forces have reportedly made a breakthrough on the eastern Russian frontline, capturing the town of Zelenyi Hai and advancing toward the strategic town of Borova. Meanwhile, Russian drone strikes have caused significant damage to energy infrastructure in Ukraine, including power and water disruptions in Kyiv, and a strike in the Ryazan region involving over 200 drones caused fires at industrial sites.
