Kremlin labels Ukrainian attacks on Caspian Sea oil pipeline as international terrorism

Russian presidential spokesman Dmitry Peskov said Ukrainian strikes on the Caspian Sea oil pipeline and on tankers in the sea constitute “terrorism in the energy sector” and “international terrorist attacks” with serious risks. He described the attacks as “extremely serious” and warned they would be discussed in President Vladimir Putin’s meeting with Kazakhstan’s president.

The Union of Caspian Sea Oil Pipeline reported that its facilities remain operational, with two tankers currently loading, after a temporary suspension of oil shipments following drone attacks on the vessels. The Kremlin emphasized that the pipeline has investors from Kazakhstan and the United States and that the incidents heighten regional tension.
