Kreni-Promeni movement faces accusations and prosecutorial rebuke

The political movement Kreni-Promeni is facing scrutiny and legal pushback in Serbia. Social media claims have accused the movement of organized efforts to bring citizens to the Voždovac municipality to change their voting locations. These claims, accompanied by photos of activist Borijan Soković, have drawn significant criticism and mockery from social media users.

Separately, the Third Basic Public Prosecutor's Office in Belgrade has issued a statement regarding recent posts by Kreni-Promeni. The movement had published a private photograph of prosecutor Mirko Despotović, accusing him of personally protecting Aleksandar Šapić. The prosecutor's office condemned this as “unacceptable pressure” on judicial decision-making, stating that while public criticism of state organs is legitimate, imputing political motives to a prosecutor without evidence is improper.
