Kretinga District Education Center launches social integration projects

The Kretinga District Education Center is implementing projects aimed at increasing social inclusion and community participation. These initiatives are designed to provide long-term benefits rather than just short-term assistance, focusing on building skills and social connections that persist after the projects conclude.

One specific project, titled ‘Promoting Integration in Kretinga City: Lithuanian Language Teaching and Psychological Support for Socially Excluded Individuals’, has been allocated 109,900 EUR. Scheduled to run until February 2028, the program provides Lithuanian language training and psychological support to various groups, including ethnic minorities, temporary residents, and individuals managing Type I and Type II diabetes.

The goal is to reduce social isolation by helping residents communicate more effectively, solve daily problems independently, and engage more actively in local community life.
