Kreuznacher Stadtwerke Celebrate 100 Years with Citizen Festival on September 26
The Kreuznacher Stadtwerke mark their centenary in 2024, reflecting on a history that began in 1926 as a municipal transport and utility provider and has since evolved into a regional energy, water and service supplier with about 165 employees. To commemorate 100 years of supplying electricity, gas, water and modern heating solutions, the company is organizing a large citizen festival on 26 September at Bad Kreuznach's Kornmarkt, starting at 11 a.m. The event will feature family attractions such as a bouncy castle, face painting, a circus, canoe rides, sports, art installations, food and drinks, as well as the mascot Eddy.
Beyond the celebration, the Stadtwerke highlight their role in the energy transition, offering advisory services for heat pumps, photovoltaics, battery storage and hybrid heating systems, and note that more than 5,800 trees have been planted through their “nahe Changers” app. The festival also underscores the company's support for over 50 local sports clubs and numerous cultural associations.
