Kribi, Cameroon expands logistics hub as port posts record profit

Africa Global Logistics (AGL) Cameroon inaugurated Phase 2 of the Kribi Logistics Hub on 25 June 2026 and laid the foundation stone for Phase 3. The multimodal hub, located at the deep‑water port, now covers 1.5 ha with a 10 000 m² paved yard, a 3 000 m² warehouse, a 2 500 m² mechanical workshop and personnel facilities. Phase 3 will add 2.9 ha, including 9 000 m² of additional warehousing, a larger yard and a bypass road, aiming for a total of about 7 ha and the capacity to handle roughly one million twenty‑foot equivalent units annually.

The Port of Kribi reported a net profit of CFA 4.02 billion for 2025, up nearly 18 % from the previous year, with revenue of CFA 38.97 billion and cargo volumes reaching 12.7 million tonnes. The second container terminal, opened in May 2025, expanded quay length and ship capacity. Authorities view the port and the new logistics hub as a cornerstone for positioning Kribi as a regional gateway for Cameroon, Chad, the Central African Republic and other landlocked neighbours, emphasizing the need for efficient road and rail links alongside maritime infrastructure.
