Križevci City Council addresses missing stone supplies and budget updates

During the 12th session of the Križevci City Council, officials addressed a discrepancy regarding the supply of stone used for road maintenance. Ivan Majdak raised concerns over missing quantities, noting that while records show 20,000 cubic meters of donated stone were received from the railway, only 14,420 cubic meters were documented as installed.

Mayor Tomislav Katanović acknowledged an administrative gap, stating that the city cannot definitively account for 5,500 cubic meters of stone due to inconsistent delivery notes. Katanović attributed the issue to administrative chaos caused by personnel changes and delays in procedures, noting that responsibility also lies with local committee presidents who sign the delivery notes.

In addition to the discussion on materials, the council passed several measures, including the adoption of annual financial reports for local public companies and amendments to the 2026 City Budget. The council also approved the destination management plan for the city for the 2026–2029 period and updated programs for public needs in sectors such as education, culture, and social welfare.
