Križevci hosts book presentation to mark National Day against Violence against Women

In Križevci, the Gender Equality Commission and the Human Rights Coordination of Koprivnica-Križevci County organized a presentation of the book ‘Sigurna kuća’ (Safe House) by author Marina Vujčić. The event was held to mark the National Day against Violence against Women, observed on September 22nd in memory of a tragic event from 1999.

Veronika Puškar, president of the Gender Equality Commission, emphasized the importance of recognizing and reporting violence to build a society where women feel safe in their homes. Mario Rajn, deputy prefect and president of the Human Rights Coordination, also spoke on the necessity of raising public awareness regarding violence against women as a severe violation of human rights. The presentation included a discussion with the author regarding the book's themes of support and protection.
