Kriminálka Slapy: Pod hladinou returns for second season

The Czech crime series ‘Kriminálka Slapy: Pod hladinou’ is returning for a second season, featuring both returning cast members and new additions. The eight-episode continuation is set around the Slapy Reservoir and Štěchovice, focusing on the lives and investigations of a police diving unit.

Actress Ivana Chýlková joins the cast as Mária Zimová, a sarcastic and uncompromising captain entering a predominantly male environment. Returning cast members include Šárka Krausová, who reprises her role as René, and Marek Němec, who plays Martin Tolar. Krausová noted the challenges of filming action scenes on the water, including maneuvering police boats.

The new season will expand on the personal lives of the characters, exploring themes of family, trust, and the complex relationship between René and Rýdl (played by Filip Tomsy), alongside the professional challenges faced by the diving team.
