Krimpenerwaard community news: sports openings and restaurant month

Various local community and sporting events took place in the Krimpenerwaard region. VV Bergambacht celebrated the official opening of a new artificial turf field and digital scoreboard at sportpark Hofkamp, inaugurated by Alderman Irma Bultman. Following the ceremony, the club secured a 3-1 victory against FC IJsselmonde.

In local amateur football, several match results were recorded for the weekend of October 3, including matches in the 3B, 4D, and 5B divisions. GSV reported a 0-3 loss in the 5B division, while other clubs like Gouda and Gouderak showed strong performances.

Additionally, the Krimpenerwaard Restaurant Month has launched. Organized by the Stichting Promotie Krimpenerwaard in collaboration with local hospitality businesses, the initiative aims to boost the industry during the typically quiet month of October. Twenty-four participating restaurants are offering customers the chance to win Krimpenerwaard gift vouchers.
