Kringloop Aktief to host open house in Groenlo and other locations

Kringloop Aktief has announced an open house on Saturday, November 7, from 10:00 to 17:00, offering a behind-the-scenes look at its recycling and sorting operations. The event will take place at locations in Doetinchem, Gendringen, and Groenlo.

Visitors can participate in tours of areas typically closed to the public to learn how donated items, such as furniture, clothing, and tableware, are processed. The organization provides explanations regarding the sorting process, resale criteria, and the handling of non-reusable materials through recycling to reduce waste and CO2 emissions.

Kringloop Aktief processes approximately 9 million kilograms of goods annually, with an 82 percent reuse rate. The organization also serves as a social enterprise, employing 225 people, including volunteers and trainees, and has helped over 400 individuals transition into jobs or education.
