Srikkanth expressed strong support for CSK pursuing a trade for Mumbai Indians captain Hardik Pandya, stating that Pandya would be a “big value addition” and that he would be willing to trade players like Shivam Dube to secure the deal.

In addition to trade speculation, Srikkanth offered critical assessments of other potential acquisitions. He dismissed Australian pacer Nathan Ellis as a viable frontline option for CSK, suggesting the bowler lacks an IPL track record and would struggle in Indian conditions. Srikkanth also advised against signing England's Josh Tongue, arguing that his express pace would be ineffective on Indian pitches compared to other available options.
