Kristal Mall announced for Barranquilla's Gran Malecón

A new large-scale commercial development, Kristal Mall, has been announced for the Gran Malecón in Barranquilla, Colombia. The project involves an investment exceeding 1 trillion Colombian pesos and will encompass approximately 150,000 square meters of construction.

Located along the Magdalena River, the complex will feature a mix of commercial spaces, services, entertainment, and recreation areas. Specific components include a hotel, offices, retail outlets, parking zones, and an architectural lagoon. The project is being developed by Arquitectura y Concreto and YDN. Barranquilla Mayor Alejandro Char noted that the development is a result of the city's successful reconnection with the river, which has attracted new investment and is expected to boost tourism, commerce, and job creation.
