Kristalni planet animated film achieves success in Turkey

The Croatian-Czech-Slovak animated film ‘Kristalni planet’, directed by Arsen Anton Ostojić, has achieved significant success in Turkey. During its premiere weekend from September 25 to 27, the film was screened in 140 Turkish cinemas, attracting 22,914 viewers according to Box Office Türkiye. This performance placed the film among the most-watched titles in the country over that period.

This release marks the beginning of the film’s international distribution phase outside its initial markets, which included Croatia, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Serbia, Czechia, and Slovakia. Within approximately one month of its release, the film has reached a cumulative total of over 80,000 viewers across these six countries.

Expansion plans include a release in the Persian Gulf starting October 1, covering Saudi Arabia, the United Arab Emirates, Qatar, Kuwait, Oman, and Bahrain. Future distribution targets include Spain, the United States, and approximately ten other countries. The film is based on an unreleased idea and script by Dušan Vukotić, a prominent Croatian animator and first Croatian Oscar winner.
