Kristalni planet animated film premieres in Zagreb

The animated feature film ‘Kristalni planet’ (Crystal Planet), directed and produced by Arsen Anton Ostojić, has premiered in Zagreb, marking the start of its theatrical distribution across Croatia via Duplicato Media.

The film is based on an original script by Dušan Vukotić, the first non-American winner of an Oscar for animated film. The project, which has been in development since the mid-1990s, is an international co-production featuring 3D animation. It follows the story of an eleven-year-old girl named Rea who moves to a newly discovered planet.

Prior to its Croatian release, the film achieved success on the festival circuit, winning a Special Golden Arena for contribution to Croatian animation at the 73rd Pula Film Festival. It also received an Audience Award at the 12th Brač Film Festival and held world premieres at the 66th Zlín Film Festival in the Czech Republic, with subsequent screenings in Bratislava and Prague.
