Kristóf Milák shifts to sprint events at European Aquatics Championships

The European Aquatics Championships have commenced in Paris, marking a strategic shift for Hungarian swimming star Kristóf Milák. Moving away from his traditional 200m butterfly focus, Milák is now concentrating on sprint events, including the 50m and 100m butterfly and freestyle distances.

In the opening sessions, Milák secured a spot in the 50m butterfly semifinals with the fifth-fastest overall time, recording a 22.96 in his heat. Other notable Hungarian performances include Vivien Jackl qualifying for the 800m freestyle final, and both Fanni Kokas and Eszter Szabó-Feltóthy advancing to the semifinals in the 200m backstroke. Additionally, the women’s 4x200m freestyle relay team has qualified for the final, offering Hungary a chance for medals on the first evening of competition.
