Kristian Shpendi leads Serie B Golden Boot race with Cesena

Albanian striker Kristian Shpendi has scored two goals for Cesena in Serie B, bringing his total for the season to five goals through four matches. This performance places him at the top of the Golden Boot rankings for Italy's second division.

Shpendi has demonstrated consistent scoring ability, having recorded 12 goals in Serie B last season and 20 goals in Serie C during the 2023-2024 campaign. He currently ranks third in Cesena's all-time scoring list for the Emilia-Romagna region, trailing only Dario Hubner and Massimo Agostini.

His recent form has drawn attention from Albania national team coach Silvinho. With other forwards facing challenges in scoring, Shpendi is being considered as a potential primary striker for the national team in the upcoming Nations League.
