Kristiana Pegararo headlines Italian Evening at Ohrid Summer festival
Kristiana Pegararo will give a concert this evening as part of the Italian Evening of the Ohrid Summer festival. The performance is scheduled to begin at 21:00 in the Church of St. Sophia in Ohrid and is supported by the Italian Embassy.
Pegararo, described by the New York Times as an “artist of the largest caliber,” has released 34 recordings and earned more than 50 international awards. She won the Golden Medal at the Global Music Awards in California for a tango album with Astor Piazzolla and received the prestigious Belisario award in 2019, presented live by Italy’s RAI television. Westchester County, New York, has declared 28 March as Kristiana Pegararo Day. The concert program features works by Rossini, Bach, Schubert, Schumann, Beethoven, Vivaldi, Weber and traditional Neapolitan songs.
