Kristianstad to host Mounted High Guard parade and concert

On September 13, the Association for the Mounted High Guard and the Life Guards Dragon Music Corps will visit Kristianstad, offering a rare opportunity to experience Swedish military traditions outside of Stockholm.

The event features a parade of approximately 20 horses, riders, and musicians through the city center. Starting at 11:30 from Östra kaserngatan, the procession will travel through Norretullsvägen, Östra Storgatan, and Lilla torg, before performing at Tivoliplatsen at noon.

The Life Guards Dragon Music Corps is noted as one of the few mounted music corps in the world where musicians perform while riding. The day's activities will conclude with a concert at Kulturkvarteret Kristianstad at 17:00.
