Kristina Kovačević Hitrec, author of Mamin blog, has passed away

Kristina Kovačević Hitrec, a prominent Croatian influencer and author of the popular Facebook page ‘Mamin blog’, has passed away at the age of 38. She leaves behind six children and her husband, Tihomir Hitrec.

Kovačević Hitrec was widely recognized for her candid discussions regarding motherhood, family life, and various social challenges, including infertility and unpaid alimony. Her humanitarian efforts earned her the ‘Ponos Hrvatske’ award. Her funeral is scheduled for September 2 at the Rakov Potok-Horvati cemetery.

Following her death, her husband issued a statement to combat misinformation circulating online. He clarified that he has not authorized any fundraising efforts or provided bank account details for donations, warning the public against potential scams. He also emphasized his commitment to caring for their children and requested privacy and compassion for the family during this difficult time.
