Kristina ‘Mulle’ Kristiansen to leave NFH after 2026/27 season
Nykøbing Falster Håndbold (NFH) has announced that longtime captain and playmaker Kristina ‘Mulle’ Kristiansen will leave the club following the conclusion of the 2026/27 season. The 37-year-old, who joined the club in 2015, has been a central figure in the team’s history, contributing to every title and medal won by the club during her tenure.
NFH chairman John Brædder stated that the decision not to extend her contract was made because the board and coaching staff believe the team requires a new leading figure. Brædder emphasized that the club wants to ensure Kristiansen finishes her career at the top level rather than being relegated to the bench.
Kristiansen, who had hoped to decide her own departure, expressed disappointment with the news but remains motivated to continue playing at a high level. She will continue to serve as captain through the 2026/27 season, competing in the Bambuni Kvindeligaen, the cup tournament, and the Champions League.
