Kristjan Čeh and Zala Istenič win Telekom Slovenia athletics league

Kristjan Čeh and Zala Istenič were crowned the overall winners of the 2026 Telekom Slovenia International Athletics League. Each athlete will receive a €2,000 prize for topping the competition.

Čeh, the Slovenian discus‑throw record holder, accumulated 40 points across four league meetings, with his best performance a 71.86‑metre throw at the national championship in Maribor. Istenič, a sprinter from Ljubljana, competed in five events, earned 32 points and remained unbeaten on home soil, improving her personal bests to 11.25 seconds for 100 m and 22.97 seconds for 200 m.

The league comprised eight contests held in Ptuj, Maribor, Celje and Novo Mesto, plus the winter throws championship, the national championships and the Slovenian athletics cup. Runner‑up in the men’s standings was Anej Čurin Prapotnik, while Agata Zupin placed second among the women.
