Kristjan Čeh wins discus throw in Zagreb

Slovenian athlete Kristjan Čeh won the discus throw at an athletics meeting in Zagreb, recording his only throw over 70 meters with a distance of 70.46 meters in the sixth series. Chilean athlete Claudio Romero took second place with a throw of 62.64 meters.

Čeh noted that while he achieved his goal of exceeding 70 meters, he felt a lack of energy and noted a lack of intense competition and spectators compared to larger Croatian meets. He is set to conclude his season in Lithuania, where he aims to repeat a 70-meter throw against high-level competition, including world record holder Mykolas Alekna and Olympic champion Roje Stona.

Other Slovenian athletes also competed in Zagreb, with notable performances including Klemen Modrijančić finishing second in the long jump (7.48 m), Nil Kerin taking second in the 3000 m, and Matic Tršelič Buble winning the pole vault with a height of 4.60 m.
